Malindi Mourns "KingTyler Tunchy," Who Died in His Sleep in Qatar

The people of Malindi are mourning Baraka, known to friends as KingTyler Tunchy, who reportedly died in Qatar, where he had gone in search of a better life.

Friends say he was chatting online the evening before his death. One friend said they had been messaging him around 7 p.m., only to wake up and learn he had gone to sleep and never woken up. The message reflected the shock felt by many who knew him.

KingTyler, a resident of Kijiwetanga in Malindi, had travelled to Qatar roughly two years ago seeking better opportunities. He reportedly showed no signs of distress before his death.

His death was announced on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, by Enye Mudzi Wa Malindi, a community Facebook page, which described him as a well-known figure from the Koi Kijiwetanga area whose passing has devastated his family, friends, and the wider community.

Tributes have poured in online, with many expressing disbelief that someone who had been active and seemingly in good spirits could be gone so suddenly. Several friends described the loss as deeply painful, and some reflected on the toll that seeking opportunity abroad can take on young Kenyans far from home.

The exact circumstances of his death had not been fully confirmed at the time of the community announcements, though multiple accounts consistently indicate he died in his sleep. Condolences have been extended to his family, relatives, and all who knew him.

ODM Politician Warns Ruto: These Individuals Are Unfit for Appointment

R obert Alai has recently expressed his views on the matter of former governors being appointed by President William Ruto. According to Alai, governors who have served more than two terms should not be considered for any appointments. He further emphasized that President Ruto should avoid appointing anyone who has already served as governor for two terms, suggesting that this group should be completely excluded from consideration. Alai's argument seems to stem from a desire for a change in leadership and the introduction of new ideas into the government system. He is advocating for action to be taken, indicating that reappointing former governors who have had a substantial impact on their respective counties could impede the progress and transformation necessary for national development. This perspective reflects...
