Confusion as Family Fights Over Where to Bury Stoopid Boy — Siaya or Nyandarua?

Confusion has rocked the family of late rapper Edgar, popularly known as Stoopid Boy, over where he should be buried.

According to a family friend identified as Moses, the Gbag Na Jug hitmaker had made it clear before his death that he wanted to be buried at his father's home in Siaya.

However, drama started when a section of the family started pushing for him to be buried in Nyandarua, where his mother is said to be living.

Speaking on Saturday, August 29, Moses revealed that he met the deceased's maternal uncle at the police station. He said the uncle had gone to get a police abstract to proceed to the mortuary and start burial plans in Nyandarua.

"They say the mother is in Nyandarua. Edgar said once he dies, he should be buried in his father's place, Siaya," Moses said.

He added that he was shocked to find the uncle making different arrangements from what Stoopid Boy had wished.

"Yes. Edgar said when I die, I want to be buried in my father's compound," Moses insisted, appealing to the family to respect the late singer's final wish.

"Let us let that boy be buried in Siaya," he pleaded.

The burial standoff comes just days after Stoopid Boy's death was confirmed by his close friend, singer Jay Classic, in a Facebook video on Thursday, August 27.

Fans have since taken to social media to ask the family to honour the rapper's wish and avoid further drama as they mourn him.

The family is yet to agree on the final burial place.
