KMFZ 545: Nyahururu Rider Pleads for Help After Bike Disappears From His Compound

 A boda boda operator from Nyahururu is appealing to the public for help after waking up to find his motorbike missing.

The rider, who operates in Garden Estate area behind Dekta Hotel, says his black and red motorcycle registration KMFZ 545 was stolen from where he had parked it. The bike was his only source of income.

His painful story was highlighted by Sikika Road Safety, a road safety advocacy group, which shared his photo online and asked Kenyans to help in tracking the bike.

"This motorcycle was the only source of income for him, and now it's gone. Kindly we just need a share to help," the group wrote.

The theft has left the rider jobless at a time when many young Kenyans depend on boda boda business to survive and feed their families.

Residents in the comment section expressed concern, noting that cases of boda theft have been on the rise in Nyahururu town, with some bikes being dismantled and sold as spare parts.

Police are yet to recover the motorbike. Members of the public with any information on its whereabouts are urged to report to any police station or contact Sikika Road Safety.
