Grief has engulfed Kerio Valley after a teacher was shot dead.
The victim was Amos Kibet. He was a civil servant and teacher.
He was killed in Mon Location, Kerio Valley Sub-County. His death remained a mystery for months.
Detectives from DCI Marakwet East have now arrested a suspect.
The suspect is Peter Suter Kipkeu. He is the headteacher of Koitilial Primary School.
He was arrested following investigations and ODPP recommendations.
The case was first reported at Mogil Police Station.
Police say they are examining evidence and statements.
They want to know if more people were involved in the killing.
The headteacher will be arraigned in court as investigations continue.
