William Ruto Names 7 Members to IGRTC in Fresh Appointments

President William Ruto has appointed seven members to the Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee.

The appointments were announced in a notice dated Friday, September 11. The members will serve for six years.

The new members are Wilson Thuita, Silvya Apaa, Ahmed Bishar, Pascalyne Kimiriri, Ken Riaga, Evalyn Aruasa and Mary Kilobi.

They were nominated in July. Their names were later forwarded to the National and County Government Coordinating Summit for ratification.

The IGRTC coordinates relations between the national and county governments. It also serves as the secretariat to the Summit and the Council of Governors.

It helps resolve disputes between the two levels of government. It also oversees the transfer of devolved functions.

In a separate notice, Ruto honoured two IGAD officials with ambassadorial titles.

They are Fatuma Ibrahim Adan and Maureen Achieng. Fatuma is the Head of Mission of IGAD to Kenya. Maureen is the Permanent Representative of IGAD to the African Union.

Ruto said they were honoured for their service in diplomacy and regional cooperation.
