Mlolongo Mother Arraigned Over Deaths of Her Three Children Amid Infidelity Allegations

 A dark cloud has settled over Neema Plaza in Mlolongo Phase 3, Machakos County, following the deaths of three young children, allegedly at the hands of their mother.

The suspect, Linet Munala, reportedly discovered text messages on her husband Alex Mogeni's phone suggesting he was involved with another woman while working in Nairobi. According to police, in the aftermath of that discovery, the children — four-year-old Adrian Ochieng and his one-year-old twin sisters, Kyla Ann and Keilah Kerubo — were found dead inside the family's single-room house, with foam visible at their mouths, pointing to poisoning.

Neighbours and the building's caretaker reportedly discovered the children after Munala sent a text message hinting at what had happened before leaving the scene. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations later arrested her in nearby Syokimau.

According to police, Munala broke down while being questioned at Mlolongo Police Station and admitted to the killings, expressing regret over what had happened. She is reported to have said: "It was the devil's work. I just wanted to punish my husband for what he did, but now my children are gone."

The children's father is said to have collapsed in shock upon learning of their deaths. Munala has since been arraigned at Athi River Law Courts, as police continue their investigation into the case.
