Ruto Ally Turns Against Kindiki, Says He Only Campaigns in Meru Villages

Confusion has emerged in Kenya Kwanza after Ruto's ally turned against Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.

Sirisia MP John Waluke accused Kindiki of leading village campaigns. He spoke at an ODM function in Kakamega.

Waluke is the chair of Western MPs Caucus. He is one of Ruto's loudest champions in Western.

"He is walking in the villages in one region. He has only been visiting Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Embu," Waluke said.

He said Kindiki was elected to visit all regions including Western and North Eastern.

He added that Kindiki has not visited Nyeri, Kiambu, Kirinyaga and Laikipia.

"He is the deputy president for a quarter of the mountain," Waluke said.

Waluke asked President Ruto to drop Kindiki in 2027. He wants Cooperatives CS Wycliffe Oparanya as running mate.

He said Western Kenya has numbers to deliver victory.

Kindiki is facing pressure in Mt Kenya. Former DP Rigathi Gachagua has made inroads.

Other names mentioned for running mate are Hassan Joho and Gladys Wanga.
