RIP: One Dead as Goons Disrupt Kindiki's UDA Meeting in Embu, Cars Torched

 Grief has engulfed Embu after one person died during a UDA meeting chaos.



The meeting was held at Nembure Grounds on Saturday. It was chaired by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.


Youths stormed the venue and clashed with police officers. The meeting was disrupted.


Several police officers were injured during the running battles. A number of vehicles were torched.


Security officers restored order after hours of chaos.


Detectives in Embu have arrested two suspects. They are pursuing more suspects.


DCI said political differences must never become a licence for lawlessness.


"Those who attack others, torch vehicles, destroy property will be pursued, arrested and brought to justice," DCI said.


Police have launched investigations into the deadly disruption.
